Mr Oliemy obtained his primary medical qualification in 2005, he has completed his foundation years and core surgical training by 2010 when he obtained a Master of Science degree in surgery.

He started his training in cardiothoracic surgery between 2010 and 2019. In 2019 Mr Oliemy was nominated to join the Royal College of Edinburgh as a fellow in cardiothoracic surgery after obtaining the required qualifications. Later in 2019 he was appointed a s consultant thoracic surgeon in the Royal Wolverhampton NHS trust.

Mr Oliemy sub-specializes in thoracic surgery (chest surgery), he performs 90% of the surgeries via a robotic assisted (RATS) or a video assisted (VATS) keyhole approaches.

He has a vast experience in the surgical treatment of lung cancer, lung collapse, chest infections, diaphragm paralysis, excessive sweating, myasthenia gravis, chest wall tumours, airway tumours, chest wall deformities and COPD/emphysema.

Mr Oliemy can offer a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic thoracic surgical interventions to deal with the above-mentioned diseases.

A fine procedure that Mr Oliemy performs is the limited (lung preserving) anatomical lung resections via the Robotic assisted approach with the help of the latest surgical technologies including the 3D lung imaging with excellent outcomes. This approach is suitable for many early-stage lung tumours for both diagnostic and therapeutic goals.
